2016 week 1

The 2016 season of the Manchester Premier League started on 11th May, under I’m pleased to say, sunny skies.

Last year’s winners, Tonge, opened their account with five winners and the aggregate at home to Nursery. The Lloyds v Sale Excelsior local derby was as close as ever. Lloyds were runner-up last season and will be hoping to go one better this season. Third placed South Manchester RBL started the season with a convincing win over Richmond.¬†King and Queen continued their improvement from last season and will be thinking of challenging for the league title.
